"Back to the Basics" by Cat Lines (June 25, 2021 release)

"Back to the Basics" is the latest single from the amazing Cat Lines!

You'll want to listen to it as soon as you can!

What can you expect from the song? Well, here's what Cat had to say about it in the release…

Ringing in the Summer with this joyous hit, Cat Lines says her newest single, “Back to the Basics” is the best song she’s created yet. Previously featured on Southern Fellow and a Starbucks Official playlist, the young singer/songwriter and fiddle player is making waves with this tune about the struggles of being a creative person in an overcomplicated world.

“My mind’s a labyrinth desperately in need of street signs” is her favorite line in the song, a testament to how easy it is to overthink when trying to create something beautiful. “I came up with the main lick while I was at work one day, and my co-workers probably thought I was crazy because I could not stop dancing around to it” she says. “This was one of those songs that felt like it wrote itself”.

She’s especially proud of the fiddle solo after the second chorus, something she says she’s been waiting for the right song to create. It adds a unique, fun element to a song that in places feels almost like a musical number. All in all, “Back to the Basics” is a reminder to us all to take a breath, rewind, and, when in doubt, think simple.

I think we all need to be reminded of that sometimes!

I absolutely loved this song. She Cat was right to be proud of the fiddle solo, but that's far from the only incredible section of this song. You need to hear the rest of it for yourself. You can find it just about everywhere you usually find your music, like Spotify and Apple. So be sure to listen to it.

As soon as you can!

"11 Days In" by Cat Lines (Mar 25, 2021 release)

"11 Days In" is the latest single from the talented Cat Lines!

Do yourself a favor and listen to it as soon as you can!

What can you expect from the song? Well, here's what Cat had to say about it in the blurb…

"This soothing pop ballad has all the hallmarks of a Cat Lines original, from the full vocal harmonies to the sweet, yet powerful violin tracks and powerful message.

“11 Days in” draws on Cat’s inspirations; Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Sara Barielles, Garth Brooks and more. It is Cat’s third release, and she says it is meant to set the tone for this year’s releases; songs that are honest, healing, and inspire a conversation about mental health and self-perception. She wrote this song 11 days after the start of the COVID lockdown, and hopes people will be able to relate to the feeling of being stuck in a difficult situation over which they have little or no control.

I think we should all be able to relate to that!

You can find "11 Days in" just about everywhere you usually find your music, like Spotify and Apple. So be sure to listen to it.

As soon as you can!

"It'll Still be a Merry Christmas" by Cat Lines (Release Date December 11, 2020)

"It'll Still be a Merry Christmas" is the new holiday single from the talented Cat Lines!

This is a wonderful song that will be sure to brighten your holiday season. What is the song all about? Well here's what Cat had to say about it in the blurb…

"Having just released her debut single ”Let ‘em Talk”, which was featured on Southern Fellow and UK radio, Hudson Valley-based singer/songwriter Cat Lines is following up with an acoustic country/pop Christmas ballad that hits home for many this year. “It’ll Still be a Merry Christmas” brings all the nostalgia of past holiday seasons while touching on some very recent fears; such as the inability to be back with loved ones due to COVID-19. This song draws on the styles of Taylor Swift, Garth Brooks, and Ed Sheeran, with its personal, powerful lyrics, enchanting violin moments and choral harmonies.

Cat says about the writing process that “I realized there was the very real possibility that, due to the risks and restrictions associated with COVID-19, I would not be able to travel home to Texas for the holidays, making this almost a full year since I’ve visited my family. As an exercise, I began writing down a list of all the things I love about the holidays, and the song sort of grew out of that, out of a desire to still make this year something special. It touches on a feeling that I think a lot of people are experiencing right now, and tries to spin it in the most positive light.”

This song does exactly that. While it was written with this year in mind, I'm sure it will resonate with everyone every year. It should be a mainstay of your Christmas playlist for years to come!

You can find “It'll Still be a Merry Christmas" just about everywhere you usually get your music like Spotify or Apple! So, there's no reason why you won't be able track it down…which I highly suggest you do.

And enjoy it all season long.
