“Again and Again" By Annie Elise (October 29, 2021 Release)

“Again and Again" is the latest single from the amazing singer Annie Elise!

And you won’t want to miss it!

I'm sure you remember Annie from her interview with us, where we discussed her single “Open Eyes". She followed that up with "We can Pretend". "Again and Again" is another incredible addition to her collection. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I do.

What can you expect from this latest song? Here's some info from her post about it...

“Again And Again” is a song inspired by the challenges of staying in tune with each other, and the ups and downs of navigating relationships in the digital age. So many of my close friends have been having the “what are we?” talk with friends that they want to be more than friends with. It’s exhilarating, exhausting, and confusing for everyone - and it can often feel like an endless cycle of “are we friends?” or “are we more than friends?” until someone says something. This song is meant to encourage and sympathize with anyone who finds themself in a similar situationship."

“Black Roses” by Sabrina Ponte (Oct 29, 2021 release)

"Black Roses" is the upcoming single from Nashville superstar Sabrina Ponte!

You're going to want to listen to this song as soon as it's available! What can you expect from the song? Luckily, Sabrina was willing to answer a few questions about it for us.

I was so excited to hear that you were releasing “Black Roses”. What can you tell me about it?

Thank you, I am really excited for everyone to be able to hear this song. I have a lot in the works but "Black Roses" is a song that is special to me because I wrote it during quarantine, which is a time we will all always remember. I had had the concept of black roses in my head a little bit prior to writing and if memory serves me right I woke up in the middle of the night, sang the melody of a line in the chorus "All you gave me were black roses," then wrote the rest of the song the next day. Whenever I'm falling asleep or actually sleeping and an idea comes to me I try my best to wake up enough to get it down in my notes or on voice memos so I don't forget it in the morning.

What did you enjoy most about producing the single?

I really enjoyed playing with sound on this one. Brett Hestla produced the track and gave it a rock edge I really like and think fits my vocal in the song. It's a song that you can just belt out in the car and one I hope people will be able to connect with as well. My goal with creating music is to evoke feeling whether that is helping someone heal, empower someone, create joy, let them know they are not alone, or release emotion and with "Black Roses," I feel people can really allow themselves to release. I think it's really cool when someone can listen to a song and be like, "wow that was exactly how I have been feeling but couldn't put into words" or can find something they have been looking for in a song. Music is really a powerful thing and with "Black Roses" being a powerful song it's one that I hope can be whatever someone needs at the time or wants it to be for themselves.

I am a huge fan of your previous single, "U-Turn". How would you say "Black Roses" compares to that one?

I appreciate that! I think if you liked "U-Turn" you'll like "Black Roses" as well. "Black Roses" I would say is more of a power ballad and slightly more edgy than "U-Turn," but both songs cross over genres which is something I find can make them appealing to more people.

“I Hate Myself” by Mariah Belgrod (Sep 17, 2021 release)

“I Hate Myself" is the latest single from the incredible singer Mariah Belgrod!

You'll absolutely want to listen to it, as soon as you can!

What can you expect from this song? Here's what the release had to say...

[I Hate Myself] is a vibey dark pop track that explores the emotions one feels after lustful desires and guilty pleasures. As a woman who is all about learning about yourself - the good, the bad, and the ugly - these lyrics that I have written hold a lot of value to me on my journey as a pop artist and woman.

I was blown away by this new song from Mariah. If you're familiar with her work from the Smule Sing! app, you're already aware of her immense talent, and this release will definitely reinforce those feelings. You will not be disappointed. I had to listen to it over and over. Be sure to listen to it for yourself.

You can find “I Hate Myself" just about everywhere you usually get your music like Apple and Spotify. So, there's no reason you won't be able to find it.…which I highly suggest you do.

And do quickly.

“Colorblind” by Diana Flynn (Oct 8, 2021 release)

"Colorblind" is the first single from the amazing singer Diana Flynn!

You're going to want to hear this song as soon as you can! What can you expect from the song? Luckily, Diana was willing to answer a few questions about it for us.

I was so excited to hear that you were releasing your first single, “Colorblind”. What can you tell me about it?

The story is all in the song! I (being the *VERY* safe driver that I am) drove through a stop sign after a breakup because I was so caught up thinking about the situation. I turned on voice memos while I was driving and recorded the line “I don’t see the stop signs when it comes to you”. Then a few weeks later I wrote a rough version of what is now the chorus. I told the lines to my co-writer Lily Lewis and we both were so excited about it!

What did you enjoy most about producing the single?

I got to go to LA with my great friend Nataliya Karpov and work with the most fun passionate people. I was so scared to record the song beforehand and kept joking that we should just go home and forget it. Nat came with me to the studio and it was the best experience.

We screamed the entire car ride home, stopped at a parking garage to charge our car, and ran around the roof of it dancing and screaming. We were bursting with joy and excitement overlooking the most beautiful view of LA lit up at night while the car charged.

What was the most challenging part of getting this single recorded and released?

The most challenging part was overcoming my own self-doubt and fear of authenticity. I had been so conditioned to put on a voice that didn’t belong to me; I pretended to be someone else because I didn’t think who I was would ever be good enough. Colorblind forced me to let all of that go.

When we last talked, we discussed your future recording goals. What do you now have planned for the future?

I’m honestly just enjoying taking each day at a time and not getting lost in any big plans. I’m super excited to keep traveling and shooting as a model while writing with other artists. I love it more than anything.
